They said it only feels like dying.
I suppose that's intended to make me feel better, but it really doesn't. I mean, how would they know what dying feels like? Is it something they figured out how to record and just aren't telling anyone? Quantified proof of death is easy, I'm sure. But there has to be just too many variables to pinpoint the exact moment when the body just can't take any more. I mean, the threshold of pain is so subjective. I'm sure somebody is trying to figure out an industry standard, something better than the little smiley & frowny faces on the emergency room wall; scales of 1 to 10 really can't give an objective overview. What happens when you go to 11?
